Vasectomy 

 

Is a surgical procedure of permanent fertility prevention in men. This procedure is non or rarely reversible! Performed under short anaesthesia - about 40 min and lets the patient to leave the clinic after some hours

During the procedure surgeon will perform a short 1 cm cut on the scrotum, approach the vas deferens - the tubes that deliver the sperm to the veru montanum (in the urethra), cut them and stitch. From now on, the sperm, produced in testicles will not get to the semen and will be absorbed by the body 

​

! Attention - after vasectomy procedure man is still fertile!!!!

There is still some amount of sperm, produced earlier. That is why doctor will propose an additional protection for up to 3 month after the procedure.

Healing

​

temporary pain, discomfort, swelling or some bleeding might be experienced during a short period of time after the surgery. Should never last long. Advisable is to wear compression underwear. Healing should not take longer than about a week time. During this time it is better to avoid hard physical work or exercise 

​
