Medical Education
Dr Corona started his Medical studies at the University of Michoacán at the age of 17 and finished in 2004, being at forefront of his year. In 2007 he finished a General Surgery residency program and in 2011 Urological Specialization at the biggest hospital in Mexico – Hospital General de Mexico. That gave him a possibility of a vast and intense practical knowledge acquirement
The next year after becoming a urological surgery specialist, Dr Corona invest in France, learning directly from the Professor Richard Gaston – Master of the urological minimally-invasive surgery, inventor and first performer of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy technique in Europe in 1997, the passionate doctor, wonderful Professor and outstanding human being. During this year Dr Corona performs with his Master over 800 robotic and laparoscopic urological procedures and published 2 scientific papers
In 2015 Dr Corona again travels to Europe to learn from the Best. This time receiving a scholarship in Urological Oncology under the eye of Professor Joan Palou Redorta – Head of Service of Urology in Puigvert Fundation, director of European School of Urology (ESU). Under the supervision of Professor Palou, Dr Corona performs over 200 oncological surgeries and co-writes another 2 scientific papers
Trainer, Professor and Scientific Coordinator
Being always passionate of developing minimally invasive urological surgery and eager of sharing his experience in the years of 2013 – 2017 Dr Corona serves as a Trainer of Laparoscopy and Robotic Surgery for the Institute de la Recherche du Cancer de L´Appareil Digestive in France (IRCAD), in Strasbourg, (world top teaching surgery center) Brasil and on Websurg (multiple surgical video technique publications)
During the same years he serves as a National Coordinator of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Urology for the Mexican Association of Urology (SMU)

Work Track
Since 2012 for 5 years Dr Corona served as Oncological Urological Surgeon at the General Hospital of Mexico City, performing over 300 procedures yearly. At the same time he initiates the Department of Robotic Surgery at the private chain of Hospitals Angeles, by performing the first in Mexico City robotic-assisted prostatectomy, in Angeles del Pedregal in 2013
During 2 years 2015, 2016 dr Corona served as a Surgical Coordinator of Urology Center in General Hospital od Mexico City
Since 2016 he serves as a Surgical Vice Director of General Hospital in Mexico City, with Urology, Pneumology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Oncology, Vascular Surgery, Stomatology, Thoracic and Cardiological Surgery Services under his supervision
Holding a management positions dr Corona has never stopped his passion. During all this years he keeps consulting and operating patients at American-British Council Hospital (ABC Centro Medico) in Mexico City
Further Education
Driven by urge to learn, contribute and serve with his knowledge, in 2014 Dr Corona widens his medical education with the Specialization of Corporate Management in Universidad Anahuac Norte
In 2015 with Medical Business Administration degree (MBA) in Universidad Anahuac Norte
PhD in Medical Administration in 2019 in CPEM Centro de Estudios de Posgrado
Dr Corona is also passionate about languages and World Culture. He fluently speaks Spanish, French, English. Communicative Italian and Portuguese, currently learning German
